[Doll Babies] – Family Pictures

May 27, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

I had the opportunity on Saturday to meet some new friends! This sweet family joined me at Arcadia Farms on a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning. I couldn’t get over the cuteness of the girls – they were just the perfect little models. They are so well-behaved and have such good natures; we had a lot of fun (or at least I did)!

We had some helpers making our day fun as well. Miss Kate and Miss Ann Marie were terrific hosts and they were even musical assistants to me! In this sweet family picture I’m pretty sure they were on the second verse of “Do You Know the Muffin Man?” – we ALL enjoyed their singing!

This session was a Mother’s Day gift. What a beautiful Mommy with her adorable baby girls!

Doll. Baby. I adore this sweet baby girl; she is so mild mannered and sweet. And I love those sweet cheeks!

Sisters, these two together are the sweetest!

Can you find the big girl in this picture? Those curls remind me of Shirley Temple; I think she may have the personality too!

No one could make the baby laugh quite like her big sister. “Buggie, Buggie, Buggie” The mutual joy was beyond precious.

If you’ve followed my work you know that I love simple, crisp, timeless images. Something spoke to me in several of the images from this session. Maybe it was the historic setting, or seeing old family pictures, or maybe even my subjects. There was almost an antique feel to several of these images. You know, those old, yellowed pictures that you treasure forever? I wanted to simulate that look in a few images.

Precious girl.

The last preview is my favorite from the day. I honestly feel like these two look like little dolls dressed up for the day on the porch. I kind of want to hang it on my own mantle in an antique frame – would that be weird? :)icon_smile

Thank you so much for spending your morning with me and for sharing your beautiful family with me. Thank you for choosing me to capture this precious time in your lives. What a joy!
