[Lydia & Blake] – Bel Air Wedding

June 12, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

If rain on your wedding day is good luck then a tornado must mean wedded bliss forever! It was a joy to spend the day with two people who are meant to be. From the start, everyone who met these two knew that they were perfect for each other.

The morning started with Lydia preparing for her day at her parents’ home. It was a special time of girl bonding and beautifying. Laughter all around.

preview-1

When wedding planning first started Lydia and Blake weren’t certain about doing a first look but as the weeks got closer they decided it would be the best choice to make their day go smoothly. In hindsight it was the perfect choice. Their first look was a time for them to pause and share a moment together. I love the look in their eyes.

After the first look we were able to do all of the formal portraits for the day. Again, we were so thankful to beat the rain (and tornado). The bridal party was a fun and funny group! Their laughter was contagious. The beautiful setting was also the place of the reception, The Liriodendron in Bel Air, Maryland.

The wedding was held at Mountain Christian Church in Joppa, Maryland. Both Lydia and Blake are extremely close with their families and they paid special tribute to each one. The ceremony was full of laughter, tears of joy, and touching moments. It was a perfect reflection of Lydia and Blake.

Before leaving the church a tornado hit less than a mile away so the guests were able to sit and catch up before heading to the reception. Although everything was a bit more wet than planned, the party was great and everyone enjoyed themselves.

preview-5 What a joy it is to watch two people start their lives together. Lydia and Blake, may you be blessed richly in your new life together!
