Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. Let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so. One day I shall dig my nails into the earth, or bury my face in the pillow, or stretch myself taut, or raise my hands to the sky and want, more than all the world, your return. –Mary Jean Iron
This is the photographer’s winter slow season. For photographers like myself that prefer to shoot outside, there’s a good month (or 3) when there is time to pause, reflect, and enjoy every normal day. Thanks for indulging me – here’s our normal day…
The day starts early for my oldest. She definitely got a recessive gene… she’s up early at her “art studio” making creations for all of us. Love it.
I believe that at least half of our day is spent in this position. On the couch reading. No wonder why my girls are so smart – their heads always in the pages.
The rest of the day is filled with a whole lot of cuteness… I may be biased but I think they’re adorable
Every normal day ends with our favorite thing. Tickle time! Daddy loves playing “wrestling flower” – yes, that’s totally a term made up by a dad of 2 girls! HA!
… let me hold you while I may, for it may not always be so…
