Paul and Abby met in kindergarten. You read that right! They started dating in high school and now, eight years later, they joined their lives together forever through marriage. Their wedding day was a perfect reflection of the two of them. Both Paul and Abby were perfectly calm throughout each moment of their day. They laughed, they relaxed, they enjoyed every moment.
They started their marriage at the beautiful Caboose Farm just outside of Thurmont, Maryland. It is nestled in the hills of the Cactocin Mountains. The beautiful fall colors surrounded them and it was breathtakingly gorgeous.
Abby got ready in a stunning old farm house surrounded by all of her bridesmaids and her adorable flower girls. Abby is such a gorgeous bride!
Paul and his groomsmen are hilarious! They are some seriously funny guys and they’ve all been friends for so long that they each know how to crack each other up! If you didn’t know them you would assume that Paul has 4 brothers. Paul joked that he wanted at least one image to look like a cheesy CD album cover. Paul, I hope you can pick one! It will be a hard decision! HA!
Enter the bug. Paul and Abby have an adorable 1972 VW bug. It was the theme for their wedding and it was so adorable! Abby’s dad brought her to the ceremony site in the bug and Paul and Abby drove away in the bug right after they walked down the aisle! So fun! The ceremony site was an old foundation – symbolic and beautiful.
Every step that we took was another amazing spot to photograph. What a perfect day!
We also grabbed some shots of the wedding party. The flower girls had everyone laughing! This group was so, SO funny! Don’t worry, I got plenty of nice, normal shots too but I couldn’t resist sharing this one!
Details. Details. Every little detail was made with love. Abby made paper and burlap flowers for the tables. She made them out of pages from Paul’s favorite book (To Kill A Mockingbird). The mother of the groom made ALL of the cupcakes AND the cake! The family came together and enjoyed a cooking night before the wedding to make the caramel favors for all of the guests. Abby’s co-workers made all of the incredible centerpieces for each table. Each one was unique and amazing! Paul and Abby are well loved and their wedding was full of examples of their love.
Let the party begin! The laughs continued and the guests all enjoyed a fun night of eating and dancing to celebrate the new couple.
I have to end with one of my favorite pictures of the day. Perfection.
